“ We stopped by this location on our road trip from Chicago to Branson, MO—and we’re so glad we did. The quality of the food was outstanding; it truly tasted like home. Their inasal tasted authentically Filipino, just like it was made back in the Philippines. And the tapsilog? Easily one of the best I’ve had so far. This cozy food establishment is owned and operated by a husband and wife team, and both of their service was top-notch—warm, welcoming, and genuine. A special shoutout to the wife running the kitchen—every dish felt like it was made with care and love. As a bonus, their ube and pineapple ice cream was a pleasant surprise—who would’ve thought those flavors would go so well together? Absolutely delicious. Nabusog po kami! Sa uulitin, po! We’ll definitely be back again. Highly recommended! ”
“ Delicious lunch & ice cream . The meat was tender and perfectly seasoned with a kick of flavor that compliments the rice and egg. Finishing off with the purple ice cream, perfectly sweet & unique flavor. Staff was friendly and helpful. If you're in Ozark... It's a "Must try" hole in the wall restaurant with a cute atmosphere. ”
“ My wife and I drive over the road and have been to Filipino restaurants throughout the entire country! This is by far the tastiest, freshest and most delicious Filipino food we’ve ever had! My wife is a Filipino and she said it brought her back home to mama’s home cooking! Incredible food and service, anyone looking to try Filipino food will 100% not be disappointed! Don’t forget to get dessert! The soft serve is outta this world yum yum! ”
“ Incredible! So glad we decided to try it. We had the #3 and #9, chicken and pork. I also tried the special drink with Ube ice cream. It was delicious and surprising! I've never had anything like it. Highly recommend! ”
“ I will say everything about this place was great! Great Food! Great Service! Great Atmosphere! A must to try out the food! Very flavorful. ”
“ I’d never tried Filipino food before, and hesitated to try it. But I’m so glad I did! This place is EXCELLENT!! Very small menu, and only open Fri, Sat, and Sun. But everything we have tried has been phenomenal! We prefer to get it to go, because the atmosphere isn’t great for dining in. The chairs are uncomfortable and we felt rushed because there aren’t many tables. But the food is excellent and the prices are great. Everything is made fresh including their Filipino ice cream. Worth checking out!! ”
“ Everyone loves a panda . Purple panda even better! Took the family today, been on my list of places to try. Nice change of pace from chains in area and it did not disappoint. Everything we had was excellent - beef, pork belly- favorite, chicken all were great. Tip - the red pepper is fire - beware!! Loved the pineapple whip and purple swirl was tasty. If you want water they have a room temp water cooler, liked to have it cold. ”
“ Yes the Purple Panda is a bit of a hole in the wall and you’re likely wondering what type of food they serves as who amongst you has routinely experienced Filipino food? Yeah not many because there aren’t many Filipino restaurants in the US. That said, do yourself a favor and give this place a try. The owners care deeply about their food and about service. They will take the time to explain the dishes to you if you’re new to Filipino food like I was. So you don’t just get really good food, you get to learn something as you enjoy it. Consider this your opportunity to have a mini adventure close to home. ”
